My Cry to the Lord

This is my personal cry (prayer) to the Lord today as I reflect on Psalm 107:19  “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.”

Holy Father,

I believe You are the ultimate healer of my soul and I claim in Jesus’ name that your Spirit will fall on me today and awaken my soul to your infinite passionate love for me!  I confess in my flesh I struggle, try and aim to please, but in Your Spirit I’m freed from the agony of performing and perfectionism.  Empty me as I confess the lies I’ve believed for oh so long.

Today is the day I’m taking a stand and refusing to look back.  I’m hearing Your voice say, “I do matter and I am someone”.  I choose to believe Your truth, Your voice today.  I can do all things in this life because of Your powerful strength that flows through each breath I take.  I am nothing without You, but I AM everything with You!

I would like to dedicate this prayer to my precious daughter that the Lord has entrusted me with.  May every word of this prayer remain true for each one of us today.

If you have a prayer request, please leave a comment on the link below.  I would like to take time to pray for all my readers today.  God bless you!

  1. Prayer for my struggle with perfectionism. It’s a road that leads to death but it has a tight grip. Pray that I can be a Godly example for my three little ones, that they may walk in His way.

    • Katie, just by your comment I believe YOU ARE a godly example to your little ones because you are seeking him. I’m realizing the struggle with perfectionism in so many ways and trusting as God reveals one thing at a time to us that we will be freed from it. Blessings~

  2. Thank you for this prayer this morning, Linda. I am praying it for me and for my daughter, as well. I am so thankful we can know for sure that God hears our cries in whatever we are going through and He saves us. He is so good! Blessings to you, friend!

    • Shelly, you made my day when you said you are praying it over you and your daughter today! Thank you Lord for hearing our cries and bringing peace in our lives. Lift you & your daughter up in prayer today.

  3. I do have a prayer that God would unlock my heart! I feel like I have had it locked up for so long I don’t even know how to think, feel, or pray! I love, love, love what you said “I do matter and I am someone!” As I said over at Stressed-Less study I usually skip over the questions because I feel I can never answer them but I am trying for this study! Thanks so much!!! ~Karen

  4. Thanks, Linda for the prayer. It is my prayer also. I do have some prayers requests today. I am not working due to permanent health problems. I have applied for disability, back in Sept of last year. It is taking so long. Please pray that it will come through soon. Also my husband just got cut back in his hours so our finances are in bad shape. He only worked part time to begin with because he is disabiled also.

  7. Dear Linda,

This is such a great prayer and so from the very depth of your soul. Thank you for the reminder that we are nothing without Him but we are everything with Him. Bless you!

  8. What a beautiful prayer! I am nothing without You but I am everything with You! I just had to say that outloud. So powerful!

  9. Thank you Linda for sharing this beautiful prayer. I’m praying it for myself also. I love this weeks scripture , Psalm 107:19. It has really spoken to my heart.

  10. I love your prayer! As you are already aware, you can pray for my weight battle and that I completely give it over to the Lord.

  11. very inspiring, good to be reminded I am important. thank you for the reminder

  12. Good Evening Ms Linda Kuhar: Please pray for me, I saw the video about you, which was truly a awesome miracle. I need you to pray for guidance and purpose for my life. I seemed to be just merely existing instead of living for The Lord as I should. Pray for my husband that he would get in his rightful place in The Lord and back in Church and his place as Christian loving husband, father & grandfather who will put time with his family. He has left his first love , Christ and started gambling & drinking. I have almost fallen in a depressed state of mine. I thank God for His continue blessing inspite of our not doing as we should. Thank you

  13. Thank you for sharing your prayer. I read your story the other day. God is so good and He is still the healer. Please pray for my daughter that she may come to know The Lord and develop a relationship with Him. God bless you and your family

  14. I know I am important and loved by God – He takes delight in me and sings over me with joyful songs – I know all that in my HEAD, I need to embed it in my heart and soul. That’s the tough thing.

  15. What a beautiful prayer, Linda, and a beautiful reminder. The more we absorb His Word(s) the more likely we are to believe them and call on them in times of stress (or celebration!). Thank you for always sharing your heart! <3
