Inspirational Coaching Minute

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11

I want to encourage and challenge you to START praying the word of God. Why? Because when we do,  it will accomplish what God desires to achieve for each one of us! Isn’t this exciting news?  When I read this verse, it gave me confidence to know that I’m moving in the right direction for my life, simply by praying his words.

As I was praying and reading over all the comments last week, I saw there is a need for many of you to connect with a prayer partner.  Let’s try to connect with each other today. 1. Great verse with a great promise. Love the idea of praying scripture which I have been doing for years for myself and others. It helps me focus on praying in His will. Thank you Linda for praying for us!

    • Your welcome Merril! I love that you’ve been praying scripture for years. That is awesome!

  2. I would love a prayer partner! Recently I have buried both of my parents, and within a week after that, my 2 ‘best’ friends abandoned me, and a week after that the people at work whom I thought I could depend on, turned on me and now I am pretty much an outcast. I realize God is just getting the ‘rubish’ out of my life, but I am terribly lonely and lately, I am feeling a bit ‘unsettled’. I am determined to strengthen my relationship with God. For some reason, I have become very insecure and second guessing my abilities, choices and purpose!

    • Hi Susan,
I have to honest, I came here to leave a comment that I would love a prayer partner. But after reading your comment (the first one I read) I knew that I was to pray for you. Although not recent, I too, have lost both of my parents, been betrayed by 2 “best” friends (just last year) and feel at a stand still.

If you would have me, I would love to be your prayer partner.

      In His Grace,
      Tammy

  3. I would love to have a prayer partner. I pray all day all the time but have caught myself in doubt lately. My husband is a new believer, I have a 14 year old daughter who not only is being a teenager but has threatened suicide over a Dad who seems to not care. My job is stressful (I work as a paralegal for an attorney doing taxes) and have a 7 year old son. No matter how hard I try ends just do not seem to meet. We have had to send the kids to stay with relatives for awhile because we are unable to provide enough food to keep them fed. I fight the feelings of being a failure as a mom who can’t even provide food for my kids. I’m scared to think of what we will do since I now have to start trying to buy school clothes and supplies…..I could keep venting but I will stop here……..

    • Monica I would love to be your prayer partner. My email address is rachelmontejano@gmail.com.
Lord thank you for putting Monica here so that we can connect in prayer to you Lord.
Linda this is great thank you!! love ya sister!!

  4. Love the new feel for the website! I would love to have a prayer partner! I am going to be in the OLBS at P31 and I am so excited. This will be my first bible study ever! I still have to go get the book!

    • Lisa, I am so excited for you! I feel like I’ve been in Bible studies all my life but each one is so exciting. This will be my first online.I would love to share prayer with you as you go on this adventure. Maybe we can walk it together.
      Blessings,
      Debbie

  5. I would love to have a prayer partner some one who will pray with me over some things that I can tell that person and who won’t “judge me ” like a friend would. If that makes sense.

  6. Patricia I would love to be your prayer partner. I read your post and I just felt that I needed to pray for you and just listen to you. I too, am in need of a prayer partner. I am currently unemployed due to a work related injury. I worked in the health related field and have not been able to go back to work since last August. I am very involved in my church and am a volunteer staff member. I am feeling called to go back to school to be a christian counselor and am hoping to do so this Fall. Would someone be willing to pray for me and possibly help me sort some things out. I am looking forward to the OBS starting soon. Lysa Terkeurst is an amazing woman.

  7. I would love a prayer partner! I am at a juncture in my life, where alot of decisions have to me made and am craving community with fellow believers!

    • Hi Elizabeth,

I would like to be your prayer partner. I am a student who is about to finish her masters and right now really need prayer for my dissertation is really stressful. I also really want more fellowship with believers too. I will be praying for you about the decisions you need to make too! God Bless!

  8. I would love a prayer partner as well. I have struggled with eating addiction/sin since I was a little girl. I am almost finished reading Made to Crave by Lysa Tyrekuerst and am starting a new healthy eating plan today. I believe in prayer and God is teaching me to read His word and let the Spirit pray for me. I also would love a prayer partner who I can pray for and share with life’s struggles. I am 44, a married mother of 2 and work as a teacher assistant.

    • Christina,
I would love to come along side you and join with you in prayer. I too have been battling food addiction since I was a child. God has rencently been dealing with me concerning this. I could certianly use the encouragment as well. My email address is lizwarfield83@gmail.com

    • Hi Christina…I would love to be your prayer partner. I have been battling the food addiction all my life as well. I just recently finished reading Made to Crave and found it to be wonderful. Even though I just completed it a few weeks ago, I think I need to re-read it! I am 56 years old, married, have a grown daughter and 5 grandchildren. I work in an office, mainly bookkeeping.

      • Thank you Teri,
I felt the Lord leading me to wait until this morning and my prayer partner would be here, so glad I waited. Nice to meet you Teri, delighted to join with you in prayer! my email is bcbrannon@comcast.net .

  9. This was on time, this morning I was praying with my husband and I prayed scriptured prayers and I usually do but, this morning I really prayed alot of scriptures over us. At church on Wed., the lady with the issue of blood for 12 years and this is what it has been for us God has been good. I’m just past ready for it to be a new season. A few years ago, I really was this deseperate to reach the hem of his garment. My prayer for me and my family is more of God and less of me.

  10. I would appreciate a prayer partner. I am leaving a relationship of 5 years and fear loneliness will affect my desire to connect with God. I was at one time a great follower and started down the slippery slope finding myself living in sin and becoming someone I did not want to be. Thanks and I know our Sovereign God will partner me with someone I can help as well in His grace.

    • I would be honored to be your prayer partner!! I understand slipping away from God. I’m here for you.

      • Samantha, please feel free to email me at proverbs31jk@yahoo.com. I am so very anxious to pray with you. I had seen you are struggling with recovery and you are in my heart and prayers. By His stripes we are healed and I am praying that for you.

  11. I would like a prayer partner. My daughter is of college age and struggling with the typical issues of a young woman. Thank you

    • SusieQ

I’d love to be your prayer partner! I have a college age son and he recently moved out on his own. Please email me if you would like to partner with me. Tammy.burgess@me.com

  12. I need a prayer partner desperately. I have been ill and had surgery and am still having complications and no one believes me. I’m so lost and alone, I feel so bad crying every night to my husband when he comes home from work. I pray constantly, but I feel like I am at the end of my rope.

    • My friend I pray earnestly for your recovery and that the love and peace of Jesus Christ touch your heart, mind, and body, bringing about the greatness of His glory. When we are weak He is strong. I believe in your healing and the recovery and the victory is yours.

      • God Bless you Judy!!!! It feels so nice to have someone say a prayer for me.

  13. I would LOVE a prayer partner…. I recently re-dedicated my life to Christ. I am engaged to a man who is not a believer, in the last year I have moved away from home and work to be with him. Now, I feel that he either needs to come to Christ or I have to leave and the pain is heart wrenching and sometimes more than I can take. We both have children and have built a life together but I know what the bible says about being with a non-believer and I want to live my life for Him not me. I have been so depressed by this but also finding that I am clinging to Christ in a way I never have before, so I believe He will make beauty from ashes.
    God bless!!
    God Bless!!!

  14. I would love a prayer partner. I am single, no kids, and moved to a new state 4 years ago. I have met a couple of friends here recently, and I am trying to become more active to meet people, but I still often feel the devils voice creeping in. I’m 39, never been married….and at that age where most of those I meet have a family. I can’t have kids. If I sit alone too long, the devil starts the negative talk about how I’m not good enough, and my self worth goes in the toilet. Thanks, Linda and ladies!

    • Vernonica,

We share a similar story. I also was not able to have children although I am 54 and married. I would love to walk this journey with you. I also moved away from my family to a new state.

I live in central OH. Where are you located?

      Blessings,
      Catherine Shepard

      • Thank you, Catherine! I am outside Charlotte, NC. I moved from NY. I am sorry to hear about your situation. But it is nice to know I am not alone! Thank you so much for reaching out to me!

  15. I need help in so many areas….my main struggle is follow through. This entangles every area of my life….weight, finances, and even my walk with God.

  16. I would really love a prayer partner. Me and my husband have been separated for almost 2 yrs now and it has really been a journey. God has been so faithful and I have grown in him so much. I have been participating in the P31 OBS much of that time in a small group and it has been a lot of what has gotten me through this time of my life. Thanks!!

  17. I am recently a grandma, recently gained a daughter-in-law. I am learning who I am in Christ, which has been very cool. I am 41 and divorced. I have an awesome church and great group of Wednesday night women that meet. I can always use a prayer partner. God is moving in my life and I still have tons to learn. He is good and faithful!

  18. I participated in my first online Bible study this past February. I have been on quite a journey. I have been married 23 years, have two sons 21 and 19. My oldest son has struggled with mental illness, addiction, and serious legal issues. My younger son is struggling with health issues and we recently returned from Mayo Clinic where he was diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease. My husband is struggling with health issues and emotional issues with all the trauma we have endured the past seven months with my son’s legal issues . Things have piled up on me and I am just trying to hold it all together. I do daily devotions and prayer, but honestly life overwhelms me at times. I am struggling to get my passion back. I look forward to this next Bible study. I will be limited on what I can post because they have taken away our computers so my son can live in our home. I love Proverbs 31 Ministry, it has been a lifeline for me in this very tumultuous time in my life. Day to day is how I have learned to take life, I have to trust God, for he is my lifeline. I have so much stuff, if there is anyone who would like to be a prayer partner, I would welcome it!

    • I have already received a pray partner but don’t think we can have to many. I have been in your sons situation with the addiction and legal issues and would love to help and encouraged you with him. I will gladly give you my number so you can call when you are unable to use a computer and you may call me day or night.

  19. I would love to have a prayer partner and be one. My husband and I have been married for 22 years, I have two boys, 20 and 13 and came to know the Lord a few years ago after what seemed like a series of unfortunate events that left us almost bankrupt, we’re still in jeopardy of foreclosure. I love praying scripture and am learning to trust and rely on God to reshape me and make beauty out of the ashes of the past few years.

    • Randi I would love to be your prayer partner, I really need one too. Our house has been in forclosure 3 times and its only been the hand of God will still have it. Then as soon as we get it my husband loses he’s job the good news is were able to keep the house but, now our car needs alot of work done on it and the money isn’t there we were blessed enough to be able to get it fixed but needs more work. I started in a business part time, and fear has overcame me and my confidence because its like we’ve been doing this for years. I start back to my full time job in a couple of weeks. I have 14 and 15 year old and my 21 year old is in the Air Force. I have no problem praying for others its believing for me.

      • Debbie I would love to pray with you – please email me at vvmxc@aol.com – just put “prayer partner” so I know it’s you and we will go from there. I’m looking forward to praying with you and for you and believing God for miracles for the both of us 🙂

  20. Thank you Linda, Love the verses. I love to pray, and praying scripture is awesome idea, I accept the challenge…. thank you. Anna

I would love to be a prayer partner: anna_showlow@yahoo.com

  21. Thank you so much, I so needed this scripture Isaiah 55:10-11 today, as I’m struggling with fear and finding voice.

I would love to have a prayer partner.

  22. Praying scripture is a great way to keep in touch with God’s plans. Thanks for the reminder.

  23. I would enjoy a Christian prayer sister that will like sharing and exchanging life’s challenges and needing someone to pray with and for. I’m a single mom of a 16 year old and we both love the Lord. I am very excited to start this study and meet and chat with the ladies here. Praying for God to send that perfect prayer partner. Wishing all the ladies a special blessing as we learn and share but most importantly strengthen our relationship with our Father!.

    • Hello

Please let me know if you still need a partner. I have a 17 year old that used to be very close to God and life circumstances have changed his outlook. I am standing on the promise of the Bible and through changes in my life and a renewed relationship with God he will come back.

      • I would love to have you as a prayer partner! Thank you for your interest. We will walk by faith not by sight 🙂

      • Hi Judy,
I finally found your post, thank you Lynda! Judy you can email at mg157@hotmail.com if you are still interested in being a prayer partner. Just put your name in the subject in case it goes into my spam folder. Hope to hear from you.
        Mella

  24. Thank you, Linda
I love this verse. This verse helps me know God is in control and all I need to do is confess and act on how he leads, leave the results to him!! Thank you.
    God Bless.
    Deborah Dean

    • Hi Deborah Dean,

I would be honored to be your prayer partner. I live in Stamford, Ct. – but we can pray through e mail. If God puts this on your heart my e mail is vvmxc@aol.com – just put prayer partner in the subject so I’ll know it’s you. 🙂

  25. Please find me a prayer partner. I am carrying the financial weight of our family right now, until my husband resumes his position as director of the non-profit agency MD-WIN. It is very hard to work 50 or 60 hours a week to bring home $129. I am paying almost 3/4 of my check for health insurance. This leaves little money for life.

  26. I would love a prayer partner. I recently buried my mom who died unexpectedly and a month later, my only child was offered his dream career in another state. I encouraged him to take the job but as a single mom, I am feeling so alone. I work at a job that people are so mean and I have been recovering from foot surgery that did not go well. I now have to walk with a walker or crutches and have had to depend on people to help me. Being independent this has been hard for me to ask for help.
