  1. I find my peace in Jesus first thing in the morning when all is quiet and I am just waking up , He will usually put a song on my heart and let me know among this crazy messed up world He is the only peace and strength I have .

#2 scripture verses I am currently memorizing He will put on my heart sometimes before I go to sleep I will say my verses to calm my anxious thoughts and give me peace in my heart .
As I go thru my day I ask God for His strength and peace and to help me with my mom she is 88 and not in good health and sometimes she gets so angry at me , that’s when I feel Jesus sweet peace telling me I am here with you Carol , I am Your Support

  2. I find my peace in prayer! I close my eyes and try and clear my mind! Sometimes all I can say is Jesus!

    • Melani, that is where I find my special place with the Lord too! I’m always so amazed when I say Jesus everything around me quiets down.

  3. I sometimes find my greatest peace in music. I can get lost in the lyrics and the music just uplifts me and no matter my mood, I just can’t help but smile and even if I’m by myself, I just lift my hands up, smile, sing and cringe (cuz I did not hit the note right) and lift my worries to the Lord.

  4. Worship or classical instrumental music has always been a calming force for me from childhood. It diffuses the craziness around me and always lifts my heart and spirit to the One who gives us peace.

  5. I find total peace in Jesus Christ. I honor Him in prayer on a momentary basis…..I pray about everything that goes around me, no matter what is happening. Jesus tells me, “Peace I leave with you and peace I give to you”. I feel His peace at all times and in all situations. I am not perfect, however, I don’t panic at things that are happening, good or bad. I immediately go to Him, in prayer and first of all, thank Him for His Peace, and then lay all at His feet. I would be lost without His calming Peace. I find Peace in loving everyone, regardless. Jesus gives me Peace, and so I must offer Peace to others.

  6. I find peace with God while I’m running. I have my IPod filled with inspiration Christian songs with a good running beat and hearing these incredible artists words lifts my longing to be a good shepard and worshiper of Jesus Christ. Love your inspirational minutes. Very clever to do it in the middle of Times Square?

    • Kathy, I love connecting with God too when I’m running and listening to music. It’s one of my FAVORITE ways to meet with him πŸ™‚ Oh and Times Square was defiantly distracting!

  7. I have a set time in the morning where I meet with God. My husband sets his alarm clock for 4:30 am; however, I can count on him to hit snooze and roll over! At 4:30 am, I get out of bed and go to my make shift reading area. I have a chair across from me, as if God was sitting there. Somedays, I’ll grab my iPad and read the P31 Encouagement for the Day; or I’ll just pray to God and ask Him what can I do today to honor Him. Either way, I get that time in with Him! Another way is if I’m just super busy and can’t grab my bible, I’ll keep a verse on an index card and just say a quick prayer using that verse.

  8. I talk to God on my hour drive to work & again on my way home:)
I turn on my praise music and sing out as loud as I can & take all my troubles & concerns for the day & pour them out to God;)
I love it:) I also take my lunch in my car alot & read & go thru the say Yes to God devotion stuff for the day:)
    Praise God;)
    Sandy

  9. I find my peace in worship and dance! It is so freeing and it helps clear my mind so I can find that peace that comes only from him! I have also started a new habit of having my alarm go off very softly to Klove and I lay there each morning and worship and pray before I ever put my fee on the floor. My day is always better.

  10. Dear Linda,
Thankyou for sending your coaching moment from Time Square. I am from New York and it was great to see it. My husband and I moved to Minnesota to teach elementary children. It was such a nice surprise and I thankyou.

I know how busy a big city can be and often times my life reflects that. I too love to sit with The Lord in nature and reflect on all he has done for me and press in on the fact that he will never leave me or forsake me!! He will make a way for me to connect with all I need to do. Also. Praying with a friend and seeing Gods hand move is faith charging!!
    God Bless
    Sue K.

    • Sue, that makes my heart so happy that I could bring NY to you. Boy is that a busy, busy city! I enjoyed my time there, however it’s much easier for me to connect with God in the Carolina mountains. πŸ™‚

  11. When the world gets really crazy I need a change in scenery. I like to go to the gym, plug headphones into my very old CD player, blast music into my ears, and rock out on the Elliptical to Israel Houghton’s worship cd – DECADE. After about 4 miles I’m physically exhausted but spiritually rejuvenated. I am a friend of God’s, He calls me friend πŸ™‚

  12. Funny you should ask this question because I have been wrestling with this issue the past few weeks. How in the world do I get all this craziness under control?

When I become completely overwhelmed with the craziness, to the point where I can’t even concentrate on scripture, I sneak away and grab me quiet me and God time. I lay down and try to rest my mind, thinking only of God as I pray for Him to help me learn to get a grip and organize my time better.

Thanks for the give away opportunity!

  13. I like to say that I have this one figured out but…
I’ve tried to meet with God after my husband leaves for work @ 7:30 in the morning and before I go to the gym. But when I do that I find myself thinking about getting to the gym. So in the last two weeks, I say my “good morning” to the LORD before I get out of bed and then go to my special space when I get back from workout. So far, so good!

  14. I am learning to consistently recognize that nothing happens in Gods world by mistake. When the crazy hits me, I am trying to discipline myself to say “This is Your will, my job is to obey”. Thanks

  15. Thanks for the verse and words of encouragement, Linda! Last week when life was crazy with lots of interruptions, I grabbed my Bible study bag (includes my Bible, book, journal, etc) and headed out to a local park and spent a couple of hours with the Lord! I was refreshed when I returned home! At home, I love to get up early and read and spend time with the Lord through prayer and reading the Bible while stting in my comfy chair in our living room. This quiets my heart to be prepared to hear God’s voice.

    • Stacey, I just want to say kudos for identifying what you needed and following through by going to the park and spending time with God! Self care is vital to shine God’s light in the world. πŸ™‚

  16. When the crazies happen, I stop and take a deep breath and ask God to help me though whatever it is that needs to be done. When I know that He is
beside me, I am better able to deal with everything. I stand firm on the promise He will never leave me.

  17. I stop and take a moment to Praise God and Thank him for everything he has done . Then I offer up the messes and crazies to him to let him do what he wishes with it, because he makes away when there seems to be no way out.

  18. When I feel overwhelmed, stressed, worried, anxious, afraid, when life seems or I feel crazy or chaotic and feel a panic attack coming on – I focus on Jesus, take my thoughts captive, read Gods truth – I have scripture posted throughout my house, car, work and on my phone. Sometimes I put praise music on, maybe I journal my thoughts. Oh and during all this breathe!

  19. I find my peace with Jesus when I’m walking to work in the morning. That’s when I talk to God and also thank him for the many Blessings and answered prayers!!

  20. When everything seems to get hectic. My 1st choice is to runaway to the beach and just sit in awe of God’s beautiful creations, oceans, sands etc since I cannot always do that I like to sit out side and look at the sky, clouds, trees birds and just relax in his presense. Also like to listen to praise music have a blessed and wonderful time in NY

  21. What a comforting scripture and so perfectly timed. Our pastor included this scripture in His series of sermons called “Jesus and Our Storms.” He taught us to remember that we have nothing to fear when Jesus is right there in the boat with us, when we have placd our faith and trust in Him. That is where I go to find peace in the confusion of life, especially during a storm. I find solace and comfort in the Truths and Promises found in God’s Word. I encounter Him in His Word. I seek communion with God through prayer and pitch my tent in His Holy Word. This combination never fails to bring comfort and strength and ultimately peace.

  22. Like many others when I feel the craziness of life taking over I turn to music. I listen to KLove or turn on my iPod. I put it on shuffle and God always sends exactly the right song when I need it. I have been trying to memorize more scripture also so that I can quote it in stressful times. When I have a chaotic day and my mind races at night I quote Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” I fall asleep in my Heavenly Father’s arms!!

  23. My IPad has daily inspirational sayings on Apps. Such as Daily Psalms and Daily Jesus! They are just quick little verses to read and think about- takes less than 30 secs. But helps immeasurably more!

    • Stacey, I just want to say kudos for identifying what you needed and following through by going to the park and spending time with God! Self care is vital to shine God’s light in the world. πŸ™‚

  24. I try to get up early before the kids have to get up & right after my husband goes to work, to sit quietly and get into God’s word. Also, work has been extremely busy, so I try to find some time at lunch to just get quiet and dig into my bible study. If the weather is nice, I go sit out in the car with the windows down. Luckily I can have a radio on my desk and I always have my praise & worship music on.

  25. I find my peace in just having faith in Jesus .He never fails me answers my prayers. I study in my bed room because it is peaceful and quite. I love Psalms 23 The Lord is My shepered and that he turely is. I love the lords peace!

  26. It is hard to find peace but to just close my eyes & be with Jesus. I know he surrounds me. With four kids it is sometimes hard especially when I suffer from depression & anxiety attacks.

  27. I like curling up in bed before anyone else wakes up and talking to God and feeling His loving arms around me, or sharing concerns for the day and asking to be cleansed with a pure heart. Something about lying in bed with Him that helps me to feel close to Him.

  28. Since I have to get up so early to get around for work I don’t get quiet morning time like I would like. I pray all the way to work for patience, peace and ask The Lord to give me guidance to be a good teacher and leader for my kids that day. I also go to college so I am usually up late at night doing homework or work for my class but as I lay down I quietly pray myself to sleep. I use to feel so bad falling asleep while praying but then I thought what a better way to fall asleep than talking to my God while he listens to my thanks and fears.

  29. If I can’t get away, I put my headphones on and tune out the noise around me. If I can get away I will sometimes head to a coffee shop and kick back with a cup of tea and take as much time as I need. Many times I will stop off at the coffee shop on my way home from work. It gives me the chance to recharge after my day and I am in a much better mood when I get home.

  30. I take one or more deep breaths and focus on having quiet time with God. Life can get so loud and busy and there are many distractions. Quiet time with God makes me feel much better. I know I can speak with Him, listen for Him, cry to Him, shout to Him , or just share quiet time with Him. πŸ™‚

  31. I lesson to music . it seams to calm me down . it helps get all the noise out of my head were I can here what God has to tell me . It has always been this way for me always .

  32. My quite time with God is when I am in bed for the night. I like reading a devotional right before bed and then I can lay in bed with all the quite and stillness and just listen, but also talk to God. I feel so protected at that moment and it just seems to melt away all the things that went wrong during the day!

  33. I try to get up early and spend time with God before I leave for work, but unfortunately that doesn’t always happen. I must say that when it does happen my day seems to always go better though! What always works for me though no matter how hectic things get or how upset or frustrated I am, I close my eyes, take a deep breath and just “breath/say” Jesus. Works every time! It’s amazing how quickly I can feel the calming of the Holy Sprit!

  34. Spending my quiet time with God throughout the day is the part of my day which brings me peace in my very hectic day. I start my day with God and I end each day with Him by my side. Before placing my feet on the floor each morning I pray for God’s guidance throughout the day. On my way to work I worship Him with uplifting spiritual music. Once at work I open my email reading a daily devotional of His word. Throughout the day I see many teens and family facing one struggle after another. I seek God’s wisdom on how to handle each trying situation and often stop what I’m doing to pray for those individuals. During my 30 minute lunch break I spend time studying his word as I surround myself with God’s amazing creations. It is so refreshing to spend 30 minutes in the middle of the day soaking up warm sun and listen to the birds sing praises to our heavenly Father. During hectic afternoons I again find myself seek God in prayer. My drive home is again in worship with spiritual music. When I have evening down time I will escape to my back porch to read God:s word surrounded by the beautiful sights and sounds of nature. I often spend relaxing evening time soaking in a warm bath and reading God’s word. Just before bed I spend time digging deep into scripture. Often I find myself so wrapped up in studying scripture that it is way past bedtime before I know it. Then I end my day in prayer.

  35. Most times I do find it pretty hard to meet with God & get myself centered when I’m in the middle of life’s chaos. I find that I have to be very intentional to find his peace during these times. How I find God’s peace is by going into my closet & being very “real” & in the moment with him. I have to lay it all out there, exactly how I’m feeling. Then I pray & praise God. I ask him for a peace & calmness to come over me.

    • Tricia, that is the key for all of us….to be intentional and to be completely real with him!! God moves in powerful ways when we earnestly seek him first.

  36. I find peace on the ride to work..I can admire God’s beautiful creations in the scenery plus have time to talk to him with no interruptions.

  37. So much worldly noise! I feel like I’m in the middle of times square each day! (Both physically & spiritualy) I start each day with God, alone & quiet, prayer is my peace & the Word. Through out the day I pray simple popcorn prayers to keep me centered, often just “help me Jesus”. It usually brings instant peace, or clarity. I know I’m never alone.

  38. I picture all my troubles in my mind and then make them kind of swirl around like waves…then I picture Jesus, centered and stable like a lighthouse in a storm, and I center on Him while repeating “And Jesus said, ‘Come.’ ” Pretty soon, the problems and trouble fade out and all I can see is Him.

  39. I find this peace during my lunch time at work. I close my office door and read. I read words of encouragement from you and other ladies through the online bible study. I am now blogging as a tool to help me study and lean on God totally. I have found verse mapping an excellent tool to understand and hear God’s message. If I take a moment to pause and then look, feel and hear, even through all the craziness; he is always there right beside me. That gives me great comfort and joy.

  40. I find His Peace in the wee hours of the morning. I make sure I go to bed by 10pm so that I can get up early to be alone with God. I use that time to pray and study at my kitchen table where I am less distracted or interrupted. My husband is used to having “noise” surround him even when he’s asleep. He keeps the bedroom TV on part of the night then he turns on talk radio until he gets up for work each morning. Somehow I block out this noise and am able to sleep well. God has blessed me with a job where I am a caregiver several nights a week. While my client sleeps I am able to use that “quiet time” to pray, read and study God’s Word. When my world gets any crazier (when the grandkids come over and want to do crafts or cook/bake) I pray that God will reimburse me for the time spent with them, and He ALWAYS does. Ask and you will receive! Any time I get to be alone I spend it with God. There’s no place I’d rather be but in His Presence.

  41. My son has dubbed it “Mommy Time”. After getting home from work, doing the dinner routine, and sometimes starting laundry, while my husband is washing dishes, I go to our room, shut the door, and open my computer. there are several studies I am working on right now, and this is when I do them. I spend about an hour, alone, every night. This is what keeps me grounded amidst the ‘chaos’ of life. by the way, I think being an adult is entirely overrated, and I tell my patients that often. always gets a laugh from them and a sigh of agreement.

  42. I find the tiniest shrewd of sanity or good in it and focus on it. Then the picture opens up and sometimes the insanity stops and you’re like okay it’s a wild ride, G-d is with me and he’s not putting anything on me that we can’t handle together. suddenly craziness, insane, chaotic situations just seem like to many things that happend in one hectic moment and the ride slows down.

  43. I am usually alone Monday thru Friday, right after everyone leaves for work or school, I am able to spend my time with the Lord, reading, praying and journaling. But on the weekends everyone is home and it gets a little crazy, I sneak away to the side of the house where my husband put a bench under one of our cottonwood trees, I sit there close my eyes and pray, journal (if I can grab it before I sneak away). I love it….
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know I am God….

  44. Well, to begin, that had to be a difficult recording with all the craziness around you. I absolutely love NYC and the people there are some the nicest I have ever met, very kind to tourists. But that story is for another day. I find my peace and quietness at the end of the day. My husband knows I will retreat to our bedroom for reading and devotional time. I recall the days events and think if I would have done anything differently. I am first thankful for all my blessings and then converse with God about opportunities I may have missed to share His word during that day. I am trying (struggling ) to make morning time to give thanks for the upcoming day and ask God what He wants me to do to share His word. I usually read a devotional from P31 and head off to work. I have reminders around my desk to keep Him at the forefront of my thoughts, but it can be difficult on a very busy day. The key is to make myself Stop/Breathe/Pray.

  45. I find God’s peace when I am sitting out on my deck listening to the waterfall in the pond. At night, it is looking up at the stars.
