I Said Yes!

As I was driving to my favorite office space (Starbucks) I started thinking about how cool it is that we can share our lives with people literally around the world all because of technology. I love that we no longer have to work in “the office” but can literally work from anywhere that has Wi-Fi?

Heck, I do my coaching sessions and even have coffee dates over Skype. Speaking of Skype, I have a coffee date scheduled with a new friend of mine, Holley Gerth in a few days.

Holley will be stopping by my blog on September 26 and we will be giving away some cool stuff that day so make sure to visit!

I’m so excited to introduce you to her! She is someone you will fall in love with if you don’t already know her. She is a best-selling author of Your’re Already Amazing as well as several other books and has her own line of awesome things at DaySpring.

When she spoke at the She Speaks conference I attended in July, she created such an intimacy with the audience. I felt as if I was the only person in the room she was talking with.

Holley asked us about our God-Sized Dreams. She helped us see past ourselves and into the vision God has for our lives.

I want to encourage you today that YOU too have a God-Sized Dream deep in your heart.

During my Yes to God bible study, I had huge breakthrough! I said Yes to God by embracing the authentic me, by letting go of perfection and comparison, which has freed me to completely pursue my God-Sized Dream!

Will you join me in a little coffee date today? Pour yourself a cup of coffee or your favorite drink, grab your journal and write out everything you’ve ever dreamed of doing. Think back to when you were a little girl. What dreams did you share with your best friend?

I want to hear all about you today! What did you discover during our coffee date? Leave a comment below.

  1. Linda, your blog is the first one I look for on the Thursday Blog Hop. I enjoy your thoughts and love of God. As a little girl, I dreamed of writing children’s books. I have written stories, but, never had them published. Now in my 50’s, I continue to write stories, as they come in my mind. Maybe one day, I will try to have them published. I need a good illustrator. 🙂 Thank you for being you. God Bless You. 🙂

    • Melissa, thank you for sharing your dream with me. That’s is awesome that you write children’s books!!! I believe in you and your dream of being published. Thank you for being a part of my blog community. I love having you here!
      Hugs & Love my friend.

  2. Linda I just want to thank you for all your encouragement to me and the other ladies during this OBS “Yes to God”. I look forward to receiving your minute of encouragement video. May God continue to bless and use you as you share His love with others. Thank you for blessing me and for helping me stay focused.

  3. Linda – those dreams that we harbor in our hearts need to be coaxed out. You did a wonderful job of encouraging that here, today. Saying yes to God can be scary when faced with actually pursuing a God-sized dream that He’s planted in your heart. I’m taking the dream of becoming published one step at a time, but I’ve acknowledged that He’s planted it and that I am capable. Now, on the the next step – submitting. Love your heart for encouraging others!!!

  4. Linda, when I was young, I dreamed always of being a teacher. I am blessed to be a Special Education Teacher Assistant for 33 years. My dreams over the years have been to have an impact in children’s lives and again the Lord has opened door after door for me to do just that in a variety of ways, loving children at school, supporting children and families through participation on committees and most of all coaching a Special Olympic team of almost 75 athletes. In recent years, my God-sized dream would be to reunite my two daughters, one of whom has alienated herself and husband and my granddaughter for almost 2 years. I believe that through faith and trust, God has plans for each of us and it will be in His time that dream will be fulfilled. Until then, I will continue to trust in Him with patience and hope and keep on dreaming!

  5. My dad liked horses so he let my sister have a horse and board it. Then she belonged to a horse club that had play days where she competed. She had a natural talent but could never get the big awards because mom wouldn’t let her enter everything. I wanted to be able to play the piano but there wasn’t any money for that. I have no rhythm or musical ability but that has always been my dream.
