What Are You Thinking About?

psalm11824.jpg

What have you been thinking about today?

Have you thought about what a kind genuine person you are?

Or how much you continue to influence others with your insightful words of encouragement?

Are you thinking about the ways you have impacted countless souls you’ve encountered over a lifetime?

Or maybe you just might be thinking how proud you are of yourself for pushing through and not giving up on that last goal?

I want to remind you today that you are what you think about. Thinking these types of positive thoughts have never come natural to me. And it wasn’t until I began meditating on God’s word day and night (Joshua 1:8) that it slowly started to transform my mind.

I tell my 13 year-old daughter all the time, what goes in must come out.

What is going into your mind? What are you reading and who are listening to? What thoughts do you continuously mull over in your mind?

We recently finished up a sermon series at my church “Your Verse” and we learned about how just one simple verse has the potential to change your life. I encourage you to search for that one simple truth in the bible and make it “Your Verse” to lean on throughout your day.

My favorite verse I speak in the mornings {especially when I’m having a hard time} is Psalm 118:24 “This the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

I want to challenge you to start choosing what you think about. Leave a comment below and let me know what you are thinking about today 🙂

  1. Thinking about how great wonderful loving God is toward me.Starting my day with Him and no complaining or grumbling, just thankful all day.God Bless!

  2. This is the verse I often centre on during my day and also encourage others with:
‘ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’
    Philippians 4 v13 NKJV
This verse applies to everything in my daily living and I can rejoice in that. Simple..

  3. Who am I listening to and what am I thinking about? These two questions started off my week. As God has put on my heart “listen to my Counsel first” and “He his redirecting my path”.

This week of body pain I’ve had lots of time to think on the pain or God thank you for confirming I’m on His path not mine.

    • Tracy, I pray you are feeling better today. It’s in those challenging times we often see and feel God’s comfort like no other. Much love & healing & prayers for you.
