Do You Sweat When You Pray?

Do you pray to the point of tears and sweat?

After watching a women pray to the point of tears and sweat I am inspired to step up my prayer life. I am encouraging and challenging you {stretching you} to be intentional when seeking God. Seek him with your whole and heart soul when you pray.

Let me know how I can pray for you in the comments below. Also have you ever had a special encounter while praying?

  2. I have definitely prayed to and through the point of tears many times….currently prayer is asked for my 20year old DS who is having gastro. surgery on 12/23 and will have to be in the hospital about a week. Please pray all goes well and this fixes the problems he’s been having for about 6 months now.

    • Lord I lift up Leslie’s son and the doctors and medical staff that will be taking care of him. Thank you Lord for healing. We join together in believing you will provide a full recovery for her son. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  3. My current prayer request is to give me clarity if I should open my house up to a women’s bible study group my sister and I were thinking of starting. I think the most interesting thing about prayers is that is seems like breakthroughs often happen in closets.

    • Lord I pray for Joline and her sister to have clarity on the next step to take. Lord I believe when you put a desire in our heart that you will empower us to do your will. Thank you for Joline and her sister as they seek their calling. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

  4. Please pray for a job offer to come through. I have been on a few interviews and am currently waiting to hear back. I am struggling financially and really need a job. Thank you!

    • Thank you God for your provisions for Angela. We believe you and trust in your timing. Together we stand in faith believing your perfect plan for Angela. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

  5. My mother in law is failing. Pray for me to have the opportunity to share Christ. We just finished Before Amen by Max Lucado amazing book. I want to be more intentional in prayer also. So let’s pray for each other.

    • Lord thank you for Diana and for the desires of her heart to share Christ with others. I pray for her mother-in-law to come to know you. We join together in praying for each other and seeking you Lord continually throughout our days. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

  6. After going through gastric surgery that I almost died from several times and have had to have 23 complication surgeries from it I have regained 70 lbs. too much. My health is suffering because of the regain. I ask for prayer that I can lose it and gain control over my un-Godly disobedience. When I think of the prayer your talking about that you saw the lady doing I think of that’s how Jesus prayed when He spoke to His Father. I’ve always wanted to be a prayer warrior like that but it takes a lot of commitment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. It makes me take a realistic look at my prayer life. Sharon

    • Sharon I thought the same thing…about Jesus praying in the garden. My hearts desire is to seek God with every ounce of my being. You are right that it takes commitment. Gracious Heavenly Father I pray for Sharon as she seeks you through prayer. Lord I pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Sharon. Thank you Lord that she is healed and will overcome this struggle. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

  7. Would appreciate prayer for both of my sons. The younger is struggling with focus & purpose while the older & his wife are struggling with infertility.

    • Thank you Lord for Linda N. Thank you for her beautiful family. Lord I pray for focus and purpose in her younger son’s life. That he will soar with clarity and purpose. I pray for both of her sons to know that You Lord have a plan and a purpose for each of their lives. Plans to prosper them and not to harm them. You are a loving merciful God and we adore you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

  8. Prayers are appreciated for a sinus scan that I will have next Wednesday. Thank you. I have read the previous comments and prayed over each person and their request. God Bless You, Linda. You are awesome! Merry Christmas!

  11. I’ll try to keep this short and sweet lol. Raised christian/catholic. At age 12 I lost my faith completely and did not believe God exsisted. I had a hard life so naturally I lost hope in everything. For 12 years I practiced other religions, searching for answers. Then one day when i was 24, life took a turn for the worst and I had 2 children at this time. I don’t know what happened but I fell to my knees outside, looked up and said OK God! I surrender, please help me! For 4 more years I didn’t read the bible or talk to anyone about my faith nor did i seek a church. I prayed and kept God to myself. More trauma kept happening in our lives till last year i moved across the country to start anew. Went to a revival, was saved, found a church, got baptized….the whole nine and today I am proud to say that my life revolves around Jesus as well as my children! I still am very very new to all this but everytime i go to church to pray, praise and whorship, prayer meetings, womens meetings and bible study, i cry deeply and i sweat like i just ran 5 miles!! I always tell myself, you will NOT cry at church today…..yea, doesn’t work lol!! But i always sweat and wasnt sure why till an elder told me its the presence of the holy spirit! I’m still trying to grasp that lol and wonder how, ME of all people is so blessed to expierence that when I’m so new to Jesus 🙂 Also when i receive prayer and everyone lays hands one me, i sweat to the point where it looks like i went swimming lol. It seems like my sweating and crying is a blessing? Thank you for posting this! God Bless!

    • Thank you Kerri for sharing your story here. I love it!!!! The Holy Spirit blows me away. He moves in unexpected ways. My prayer is that everyone will get to experience the power of the Holy Spirit’s presence. My life changed the day I was filled with the Spirit. I write about it in my book that will be out Nov. 2015. May God bless you abundantly sister. xoxoxox

  12. This was perfect for me!! I pray and am consumed with sweat to the point my whole body is hot and wet. When I tried to find more about it on the Internet I couldn’t find anything. I’m still wanting to know more….it just doesn’t seem normal. It has happened about 8-10 times for me.

  13. God bless you Linda. I experienced that today. I didn’t know why I was sweating so much while praying.

  14. God bless you I just came across your page a quick Google turned into me buying g the limitless book. Everything is for a reason. FAITH is deep.

  15. Hi I have just got up from my knees after earnestly praying (and fasting for the day) for my son who plans to get married. She is saved and baptised, my son isn’t though he is a believer. I am joining my ‘future daughter-inlaw’ in prayer for glorious thnigs to happen, that being that he will receive Christ as his saviour. While praying (on my own) I felt a sudden heat in my body and I sweated so profusely I couldn’t even open my eyes without getting a tissue. It was a deep experience, and I feel as if my prayer was received with love. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, and even as a christian, this is the first time I have fasted, but it also got me searching online for answers to this kind of experience… can you enlighten me?

  16. Hi there, I have prayed so hard to God…for helping and getting rid of all ugly things happeing in my life…my wifeand I had an argument …….. And I drive off….when I came back I stopped the car and start praying to God so hard and startesto cry and sweat became so much that that I had to change my shirt when I came in again. WhileI was praying I also encounterd alot of goosbumps and it just felt that God hasheard my prayer…fromthat day…I could nt stopthinking of God…fora while I disntgo to church and have staryed to go now again…it feels like I cant get enough of God I cant stop talking about him. Bad habbit have gone away ..with outme asking him…but everyday I talk tohim abiut 100 times…I just want tohear from him again. Even today when I wentto chuch I was so down as I wiched that the service could go on and onan on… What has happend to me…and how do I get people to be like me…I cant get enough of God…I went troughao much in my life Drugs etc etc. But always grew up in church…but its likeeverythibg has changed and I cant explain what God dis to me…its the most amazing feeling ever

  17. I have been researching why i sweat so bad while receiving prayer.. It only happens when a strong man or Woman of God lays hands on me…i get hot and sweat profusely and it stops when the prayer stops.
