Will You Please Pray with Me?

Prayer for Cancer Patients

I tend to start my new year by thinking of how I can make personal changes, goals and dreams come true in the year ahead. While I will do those things, God has sweetly reminded me to value others above myself. (Philippians 2:3) I pray you will join hearts with me and pray for all those who are battling cancer today.

Please leave a prayer or comment below as we lift up cancer patients today. Thank you sweet friends. I love you! Happy 2015. It’s going to be a great year.

  1. Thank you for this, Linda. My special prayer today is for a young woman named Kayla. She is not yet 20, I believe, and has been fighting a particularly deadly form of cancer for the past year. The doctors don’t hold out much hope for her, but in the last six months she has launched a campaign to raise money for research into childhood cancer–a cause that was inspired by the months she has spent in the company of many, many young children who are dying and have died from their cancer. Kayla is inspiring and beautiful and walking in faith in an incredible way. So I offer special prayers for her and her family.

    • Thank you Peg for sharing Kayla’s story with me. I’m praying and believing for a miracle for this sweet girl. Will continue to keep her in my prayers.

  6. As we lift up all the all the patients that are suffering with or recovering from cancer, let us also remember to pray for the caregivers as well. Many work 24/7 caring for friends and loved ones unselfishly and without help. Sometimes that support can make the difference in how they respond to treatment and fight the fight. Thank you for your prayers.

      • I’ve lost many members of my family to cancer. I lost my mom when I was twelve years old and my dad 10 years latter. I’ve lost a older sister and brother, nephew, aunts and uncles. I’m a breast cancer survivor of almost 30 years Praise The Lord.I would like for you to pray for me as i battle my weight. This may not be the appropriate place for pray request if not I apologize. Thank you for your ministry.

        • Carol I would LOVE to pray for you. Gracious heavenly Father, Carol and I join together in seeking your presence today. Father I ask on behalf of Carol for You to do a brand new work within her in 2015. Sustain and strengthen her. Your word says you have a plan and a purpose for Carol, a plan to prosper her and not to harm her. Your word says that it will not return to you void. Because of your truths and promises we come together in the name of Jesus and claim it is finished….Carol will have a year of prosperity and health. Thank you Jesus. It’s in your name we pray. Amen.

  7. The prayer is beautiful! I lost both my husband and my dad to cancer, so I have an especially tender spot in my heart for so those going through it (the patient & the family). Thank you for sharing such a sweet prayer (have already prayed it for all of those mentioned in the comments and anyone else facing it).

  8. The prayer is beautiful. I see patient’s suffering daily from cancer at the hospital where I work. I ask a simple question, do you have faith? Then if the answer is yes I ask if I can pray for them and I touch them and pray. I had one person tell me she did not have faith and I replied I have enough faith for you and I will pray for your comfort and I walk away saying a silent prayer for her. I lost my mom to cancer and I was 25. This impacted my life. Joining you today, Linda Blessings Diana

  12. I was diagnosed with stage 3C breast cancer July 2015. I have had a bilateral mastectomy and my lymph nodes removed. I am almost through with Chemo and will begin 7 weeks of radiation in March. While in chemo I met a friend named Jennifer. She is doing my process in reverse. She had chemo first and will have surgery then radiation. I would like prayers for her. She is very nervous about the surgery (rightly so) Tuesday, January 26th. (my last day of chemo). Please pray for her to draw close to God during this scary and difficult time. Thank you for putting this out there. Love your witness! 🙂

  17. Hi Linda, can you please say prayer for my mom who about 2years ago was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and the doctor’s were able to remove a tumor that spread into her stomach, and colon. She went through chemo for about 6 months. It completely went away. Today we found out that the cancer is back and they found tumors again and she will be starting chemo next week. I have strength in God that he will heal her again and that it will never return she’s a strong believer in the Lord. I pray for a miracle that will soon take her pain away.

Thank you for reaching out here for prayer. I will continue to post more prayers in the future. Sending you much love, prayers, love & strength.

  18. Hi Linda,
Can you please pray for my mother Helene who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3 advanced last November. She did surgery and removed the ovaries and tubes but not the cervix where the main tumor is. As a result she is having fluid build up in the abdomen which totally unable her to sleep, eat and do other things and also undergoing chemo. But the doctor says there is no cure for her.

    Thanks,
    Brigitte
