One Easy Way to Finish What You Started

We are talking accountability. How can we set those goals, follow through and achieve them? One sure way to do it is by staying accountable.

What are some different ways to stay accountable?

1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us, therefore encourage one another and build one another up.

One really fun way to stay accountable is by speaking into another’s life by encouraging, motivating and inspiring them. And guess what it does for you? Internally it motivates you to stay on course. It works like a charm.

Who will you encourage today?  Everyone who comments will be entered to WIN a special devotional book from Lysa TerKeurst, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God. yestogoddevot

Journal with God: Write out in your journal 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “therefore encourage one another and build one another up”. List all the people in your life that might need encouragement today. May God bless them with a word of hope.

  1. Love your messages! I will encourage my daughter, should I win Lysa’s book, I will give to her. I have the awesome book & have done the study. Thank- you for all your encouragement to so many. God Bless ❤️

  2. Your post connects so well with the blog I posted this morning. Love the reminder of being an encourager and I like the you put it…”Speaking into someone’s life.” Thank you, Linda for the many times you have spoke into mine. By the way. You look beautiful today!

  3. Thank you for message, Linda. You know what’s really great? Just how true it is what you said in how we help ourselves too when we encourage someone who is struggling with something or striving for a goal. I found that out recently in talking with a sister in Christ who is struggling with challenging thoughts that are similar to mine, but hers seem to a bit more consuming. As we talked, I encouraged her and spoke truth to defeat the lies. In the process, I came away strengthened too.

  4. Thanks Linda for your encouraging. Accountability is so important. You never know who’s life your touching but God will send people into your life that you can help as well as they can help you. Right now my sister is having to do deal with her son and his wife abusing my mom. She wants my sister to take care of her business since my dad passed away 5 weeks ago. Her son and his wife are convincing her that she needs to give them everything. So far they’ve got my dad’s good truck, thousands of dollars worth of his valuable tools and now they want to move in with her. They moved in with her mom when they first got married and treated her so bad that the county took her away from them and put her in a nursing home and she lost her home. I hate to see my mom suffer the way her mom did. They’ll move in and strip her of everything and then put her away. She knows it to, that their conning her but she still says yes to them when they get her by herself. I got a pamphlet on elderly abuse that describes them perfectly. My sister needs prayer and encouragement because mom seems so helpless and won’t listen to my sister. She snaps and talks awful to her and as sweet as pie to her son and family. I appreciate everyone’s prayers. Thanks.

    • I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad Sharon. Praying for all of your family to find peace and strength during this difficult time. Sending many prayers.
