In 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. During chemotherapy treatments I contracted H1N1 and was hospitalized. I was in a coma for 3 1/2 weeks, on life support and given a less than 5% survival rate. The doctors told my family if they believed in divine intervention it was time to ask for it. God came through with an absolute miracle! Once I woke up from the coma I was told I would permanently be on oxygen and in a wheelchair, but God had a different plan for me. Six months later I trained for my first half marathon.
While training for my half marathon, I had the most life changing experience working with a coach. My coach was dedicated, encouraging and passionate to see me overcome my obstacles. This is when I discovered the deepest desire of my heart. I wanted to do for others what had been done for me! I was determined to honor my life and glorify God by Loving and Encouraging women to Achieve God’s Purpose in their life! I became a Certified Christian Life Coach at Christian Coach Institute in 2010, a Certified Human Behavior Consultant in 2011, and a Board Certified Coach with the The Center for Credentialing & Education in 2012. Also I joined the Executive Team for Proverbs 31 Ministries Online Bible Study and I am currently writing my first book! Speaking at churches and various organizations such as New Life 91.9 radio station is such an honor for me to share with others how God continues to provide hope and miracles in our world today.
I’ve been married for 19 years to my high school sweetheart, Todd. My husband is such an incredible man who has always stood by my side in everything I do, and he continues to motivate me to be the woman God created me to be. We have one amazing daughter, Megan. She is an 12 years old who has a passion and love for art. We have two small dogs, Little Bit and Maggie, who are always by our side or on our laps!
My favorite time of the day is early in the morning before anyone is awake. This is when I have my quiet time with God and he always speaks to me and directs my steps for the day. My day is never complete unless I start it with God first. I love facilitating a women’s bible study in my home. These women are such a blessing in my life and spiritual walk. I also enjoy nature, being outdoors, running and Most of all hanging out with my family.
