Inspirational Coaching Minute

What ways do you connect with God?

Matthew 18:20 states, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

I want to encourage you to find someone to pray with and develop a deeper intimacy with God.  Not everyone is comfortable praying with others, however I want to challenge you to step out of your comfort zone! We must be intentional in our relationship with God.

Everyone who comments on my blog today and Thursday will be entered to win Lysa TerKeurst book, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God.  Join me for the next Online Bible Study as we say YES to God together starting July 28! I will announce the winner on next Tuesday’s Inspirational Coaching Minute.

Honored to Coach Women around the globe at www.lindakuhar.com!

  1. Linda,

You always make me think and desire more from myself for God.
A prayer partner would be awesome to have. I will pray about that until it happens and get out of my comfort zone to do it.

    Blessings,
    Catherine

    • Thank you sweet Sister for you loving and encouraging words 🙂 You made my heart smile!

  2. I connect best with God when I’m outside or by water. I love starting my morning on my deck, listening to the birds sing His praises while I sip a cup of coffee and spend time in the Word. Or I connect in a whole different way as I walk the shoreline of my favorite place in Michigan, Traverse Bay, and try to count all the grains of sand beneath my feet begin and fathom that he is mindful of me right now. Sunset alerts are a frequent event in our house as we tend to forget that twice a day God paints the sky in a unique and colorful way and longs for us to take it all in before he wipes the sky clean for the night. And when he illuminates the skies with the stars that he has created and I stop to take it all in before I close my eyes for the day – I’m mindful that he will watch over me while sleep because he neither slumbers nor sleeps. So outside in God’s creation is where I best connect with Him. Thanks for letting me share this with you today. Judy

  3. When I feel closest to God. I live close to the beach and when I am there or even just see the ocean I feel a great sense of peace. It’s my place of peace. I am a major worshiper I love being in worship with Him ~ music is simply so powerful and during this time is when He fills me up!

  4. Very true!! To have others to pray with and for you is such a nice way to connect with other people… And with God!

  5. I connect with God best in my car. I only listen to worship music music when I’m driving and I find myself to really be able to think clearly and hear His voice when I’m driving. I know it sounds crazy, but it works for me!

As far as praying with others, that one is hard for me. I have a hard time with that one. I guess it is almost a ‘stage fright’ type of thing, where I’m worried I won’t know the right thing to say, or I won’t sound as ‘holy’ as they do.

I appreciate the lesson- it reminds me that this is something that I definitely need to keep working on!

  6. Thank you for your encouraging words. I feel the closest to God when I am outside too. Preferably by the ocean, but since I don’t live by the ocean, I’ll take sitting outside on my deck.

  7. Thank you for your encouraging words! I feel closest to God when I am outdoors too. I especially feel closest when I am at the ocean. I don’t live by the ocean so the next best thing is sitting out on my deck looking at the mountains in the distance.

  9. I am like you I feel close to God when I’m outside. Thanks for the encouraging words.

  10. I connect with God immersing myself in His creation, by being outdoors, gardening or walking or biking. Just had a difficult decision to make about a job, I had a great desire to go camping and sit and listen to hear what God was leading me to do. I came to a peaceful place about the direction to go. He blessed me with a perfect weather weekend, scripture and quiet time for prayer. Now I am seeking a way to connect with others while enjoying nature. Thank you for this coaching minute!

    • LuAnne, I’m right there with you when it comes to the outdoors and God. What a beautiful gift we can encounter every day of our lives! Blessed!!

  11. I connect with God each morning as I read the Bible and quiet myself to listen to Him. I also pray with a dozen ladies every single Tuesday and Thursday morning for an hour and pray with them for things concerning our church and/or news events in America or in the world. I also connect with God each night as I pray with my husband before going to bed. God is my all in all and I love Him so very much!

  12. I have the book and look forward Bible study if I win friends on Facebook I would give it to my daughter to do the Bible study alongside me thank you for all that you do to spread God’s Word
