No Pain, No Gain … Really?

This was so hard … 7 miles complete!

Why do we take two steps forward and one step back when working towards our goal? We might need to consider the different factors involved. For example this week I need to look at the difference in the weather, my nutrition and stretching from the previous week.

Coaching tip: When you are working towards your goal do not get discouraged when you have an “off” day. It is part of the process to have good days and bad days. Remember progress not perfection. We must go through growing pains, learning and perseverance to get across the finish line.

Let’s keep up the good work ladies, together we will make it through!

  1. Our flesh is weak but our Spirit is strong! He knew we would have those days where we feel worn and tired and where we feel like we are taking two steps forward and one step back But God ! He gives us just what we need when we need it if we will just seek Him and allow His Spirit to refuel and renew us and help us to continue on the path He has for us !!! Today He keeps speaking volumes about the Holy Spirit and this was my prayer this morning ..Dear Lord, I pray today that we will take a few moments, not to ask for anything, but just to be still. May we allow Your Holy Spirit’s Presence to fill our souls, to refuel us and refresh our spirits. Let us know that You are dwelling within us to help and guide in every moment of our lives. Thank You Jesus for Your Presence. Amen
At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.John 14:20
God promises me that He will be with me! He is living in me because I am a daughter of the King. His Word tells me that He is in the Father and I am in Him and He is in me.
Praise His name !!!! Thank you for sharing your heart your victories and your struggles Linda! Praying He refuels and renews your Spirit today !!!

  2. I am not progressing as well as I should on my goal of getting this weight off. But I am happy to say that I am seeing progress in the area of learning myself and finding joy in my life. And although my weight loss is important, finding joy in life has truly changed my outlook!!! I am sure that as God changes the core of who I am everything else with fall in line. Now it is time for me to refocus and get back on track with my goal. I am ready for the challenge!!!!

    • Ayesha I love your heart! God is doing such amazing work in you my friend. I know that you can accomplish your goal! When He changes us from the inside out nothing can stop us!!! xoxox

  3. So proud of all of you and your encouragement. This group is fantastic. I weighed myself the morning and I was up, so I just looked at my goal and re-assessed it and did not beat myself up over it. I gave myself grace and I am looking at it more positive today. I am back on track. Thank you for your motivation Linda, You are truly an inspiration. Have a blessed Day

    • Mary you go girl!!! That’s what its all about. Getting back up and not beating ourselves up. Thank you for being here and sharing your heart. You inspire and encourage us too! xoxo

  4. Once again Lina your blog was in God’s perfect timing! I had a crazy busy weekend and for me with my health that means so much more than just being active it also means I have to figure in rest and renewal. I knew I should not have taken a day trip home to Chicago on Friday but I did it anyway and my health suffered greatly and then the activities I had for Saturday that were God ordained just added on to my already weakened body. So, I missed my first Blog deadline and I have been “punishing” myself a bit for it. I also didn’t make time for your Saturday Blog until just now BUT thank God I did. I will publish again tomorrow and accept that just because I missed one deadline doesn’t mean I am a failure. Practice makes progress not perfection. Thank you for being so real with us and filming after workouts that go well and ones that are harder on you – that inspires me deeply! I am Worthy, thank you Jesus!

    • Amen Melissa, practice makes progress NOT perfection. I’m gonna remember that one 🙂 I’m so proud of all the hard work you’ve been doing to write your blog. I tend to look at what I haven’t done right instead of ALL that I’ve been doing right. hmmm…. Today I’m going to focus on what I’ve been accomplishing and kick those other thoughts out of my mind. Will you join me?

  5. I am not progressing in my weight loss. I have a situation with work that completely blindsided me and I have been crying for days. However, I have been praying and God has really shown me some things that I had not realized, one being completely dependent on Him. And now with this, REALLY depending on Him. So I have had pain…..but using it to gain more insight into how/what to change ! I am worthy..Thank You Jesus!!!!

    • Cate I just want to reach through the computer and give you a big hug. I am so sorry you’ve had this situation at work. I love how you are choosing to lean into God and get back up to continue to move forward. It’s difficult when things blindside us. Often when I set out to achieve a goal things are GREAT in the beginning and then I run into problems. It never fails I feel like. But as you have said, God continues to teach me to fully rely on him and nothing else. Love you sweet friend. I am praying your situation brings healing.
