This gives me confidence

My life radically changed when I started reading the bible out loud. As your Christian life coach I encourage you to start reading the word of God out loud often. There is a divine exchange that happens when you speak God’s words aloud, back to Him. Try reading the below scripture aloud today, Colossians 3:12-17.

Character of the New Man

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

This scripture tells us our character. We are holy, we are the beloved, that we are merciful, we have kindness and humility. We are forgiving and more than anything it tells us we are love. Love is the bond of perfection. There is no way we would be perfect on our own, but through Christ in us, we are His perfect love.

Take time to speak this truth over your life today: I am holy. I am set apart because of you Lord. Thank you God that I am your beloved.

Take My 2 Minute Challenge

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” – Joyce Meyer, Battlefield of the Mind

As your life coach I want to challenge you from time to time to get outside of your comfort zone and try new things. I love the quote above from Joyce Meyer. Isn’t it so true? We are what we think. When we agree with who God says we are, we live full of confidence, full of life, full of joy, full of peace, full of victory. We live from a place of overflow! But boy oh boy, when we agree with anything less than who God says we are life is a mess. We feel defeated, depressed, insecure, fearful, lonely, less than … we feel just an absolute mess! So my friend I want to set you up for success to live a positive life by encouraging you to take my 2 minute challenge.

Will you join me today in this 2 minute challenge to renew your mind? 

It’s very simple. Grab your cell phone and set your timer for 2 minutes and then read out loud the below text. (Read slow enough to fully absorb these truths.)

I am God’s beloved. I am beautiful. I am valuable. (Song of Songs 4:7, Isaiah 62:3, Eph. 2:10; Es 4:14)

I live in peace. (Isaiah 26:3)

God has great plans for my life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I trust in God with all my heart, mind and soul. (Deut. 4:29, Prov. 3:5-6)

I am confident because of God’s spirit inside of me. (Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Peter 5:7; Gal 2:20)

I am blessed. I belong. I am strong. I am positive. I am happy.

I laugh. (Proverbs 31:25)

I live in faith. (2 Cor 5:7)

Because of Jesus I am never alone and have nothing to fear. (Joshua 1:9, Deut. 3:16)

I am a new creation because of Christ in me. (2 Cor 5:17)

God is always working all things out for my good. (Romans 8:28)

Because I choose to see myself the way God sees me, I have no insecurity. (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-16; Ephesians 5:25-27)

I am completely whole – physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. (Psalm 103:1-5; Matthew 8:16-17; II Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:24)

How To Connect With God

The only GOAL you need for 2019

It’s that time of year when we start thinking “next year” I’m going to loose weight, go to the gym, eat healthy, get organized, start a new career …. you fill in the blank. We think about what’s next and how we can improve.

Today I want to share with you the ONLY GOAL we really need in order to achieve all those other goals on our list and I believe this 5,000% in my heart to be true. Before I share my secret I want us to look at the The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins from Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom [a]is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

I want to focus in on verse 8, “and the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” The lamp oil represents spiritual preparation. Our relationship with God (spiritual preparation) cannot be borrowed or bought. It is up to us individually to build our relationship with the Lord. It is vital that we take time to earnestly know God, like our best friend. That we truly have an intimate personal relationship with Jesus.

Let’s be honest, while all of our new years goals are important to us and we always want to improve ourselves, the truth is we never know when our last breath will be. We do not know when we will meet the Lord face to face. And no matter what, when we meet Him we do not want to hear “I do not know you.”

I want to commission you and challenge you to make your #1 goal for 2019 to be your relationship with the Lord.

I would love to hear your voice!

In this virtual world we live in today I’ve come to realize (personally!!) how desperate we are for real life conversation and connection. Recently I went through a season of feeling isolated and lonely. When working from home you can experience disconnection and even emptiness at times. I found myself longing for more conversation and connection and that’s why I created a FREE monthly conference call to connect with my virtual friends … with YOU!!!

Once a month I will be hosting a live conference call to bring my virtual friends together for real life conversation and connection. Each month I will do a brief reading from my book Worthy of a Miracle, 5 Simple Truths for Believing and Receiving God’s Love, lead us in prayer and then open it up for conversation. The goal is for us to grow together in our relationship with God and connect with each other through conversation!

God said it was not good for man to be alone (Gen. 2:18) and decided to give Adam some company, so He created Eve and that’s where community began in our world.
